My husband and I enjoyed a fabulous afternoon tea at The County Hotel yesterday. The tea consisted of a selection of different finger sandwiches, pork pie,sausage roll, quiche, and savoury eggs. ..
The table was nicely set with table cover and we had an endless supply of tea and coffee. It was a very enjoyable afternoon and the staff were very attentive without being overbearing and very friendly and polite . Totally recommend

We hadn’t booked but still got offered a table during the busy Sunday lunch rush. Staff were lovely and very knowledgeable about allergies.
Plenty of choice Gluten Free and vegetarian. Very tasty food, would have tried sticky toffee pudding for dessert but pushed for time. Will definitely return. Lovely service from the lovely staff.

From the appearance of the hotel on arrival , to the check out , it was a lovely experience.
The check area was welcoming and the gentleman in charge was helpful in advising parking.
The king size room was spacious and spotless.
The breakfast was amazing.
So, a lovely looking hotel in city centre, large comfortable room, excellent breakfast and spotlessly clean, yip, we would return next time in Hexham

We had a de-luxe king-sized room which was spacious and very comfortable...
What impressed us most was the friendliness of the staff each and every one of them….nothing was too much trouble. In particular, I would like to mention the staff member who checked us in, the staff member who delivered our breakfast with a smile and helped us in other ways, and the staff member who checked us out and took our breakfast order on the last morning. All done with a smile and warmth we have not experienced in any other hotel and we have stayed in many. We fully intend returning.
